In the face of reported political violence in some parts of Kogi central during the ongoing political campaigns and rallies by some political parties in the area a two term chairman of Okene Local Government, Alhaji Yahaya Karaku has bared his mind on the issue saying that the youths of the area should stay clear from political violence in their best interest.

The APC stalwart who is generally referred to as the “Strong man” of Okene politics told this journalist today that he would never support the use of thuggery by any political leader to achieve their inordinate ambition.

He spoke on the political crises in the area and cleared the air that the APC leadership in the state would never engage in any form of political violence or intimidation to achieve success at the polls.

Alhaji Yahaya Karaku also spoke on the chances of all APC candidates in the forth coming senatorial and House of Reps/House of Assembly elections and gave the hope that all of them will record a resounding victory because APC remains the party to beat in the 2019 general elections in Kogi Central.

He disclosed that the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has assured that there is a level playing field, all political actors representing their various political parties across the length and breadth of the state. He stressed that the Governor is a peace loving and focused political leader who want the best for the entire state under this democratic dispensation.

Alhaji Karaku gave the assurance that President Muhammadu Buhari would win Kogi state convincingly with a landslide because APC is fully on ground in all the 21 Local Governments in the state, assuring that he in synergy with other stake holders in Ebira land would deliver what he describe as block votes to the president in the February 16th presidential election.

On the chances of the APC flag bearer in Kogi Central, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, Alhaji Yahaya Karuku who described the former as a political icon said he was optimistic that the APC flag bearer would clear the poll on a landslide victory.
