Plaudits for Rabiu Alfa at Igala Summit, Prince Abubakar Audu’s Two Years Remembrance Lecture

It was a mild and weekend of mass applause for the member representing Ankpa 2 constituency, Hon Alhaji Alfa Momoh Rabiu as he among other things attended the “Great Igala Conversation” and the two years anniversary cum memorial book launch of the deceased first and second executive governor of Kogi state, Prince Abubakar which all held in Abuja.
The epoch making events held simultaneously at the Nigerian Merit Award House Abuja and the Shehu Yaradua International conference centre, Abuja. The high ranking honorable could not control the mammoth crowd whom were in cheers and welcome note as he arrived the merit house Abuja, venue of the great Igala conversation were he spent a while before heading to the remembrance and memorial book launch later in the day.
The interactive session at the merit house had in attendance many Igala son’s and daughters whom were also carried away in admiration of the emerging phenomenon, Hon Rabiu as he was generally extolled as an integrity personified law maker, devote communist and a people oriented voice. The great Igala conversation had in attendance the immediate past governor of the state, Captain Idris Wada, Gen Moses Atakpa (Rtd), Sen Nicholas Ugbane, Serving and past members of the federal house of representatives, professionals, captains of industries among others.
Highlight of the weekend was his arrival at the Shehu Yaradua center whereat to the surprise of many, Non kogites of different tribal extractions besieged the member in solidarity and show of love. And in his usual way, he took time to exchange the love shown with warm and soft hand gestures which shall no doubt go a long way in easing economic demands given to the present state of things across the nation.
The remembrance session had in attendance bigwigs from all spheres of life who in their separate remarks all eulogised the deceased governor. The occasion which was chaired by former governor of Kano and serving Senator of the Federal Republic, Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso had in attendance the two immediate past governors of Kogi state, Alh Ibrahim Idris and Captain Idris Wada, honorable minister of science and technology, H. E Ogbonanya Onu, AVM Atawodi(Rtd) and the Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Alh Ado Ibrahim who also served as the royal father of the day.
Others were former minister of Information, Prof Jerry Gana, representatives of former governors’ and serving governors, a kogi state delegation as led by the speaker Rt. Hon Kolawole and a host of other dignitaries.
It will be recalled that the deceased has passed on midway of his election in 2015 and until his demise was a great and we’ll respected governor of Kogi state whose legacies in the state remains unrivalled even after his death.
