Pius Kolawole Plans Economic Blueprint for Yagba West

The Executive Chairman of Yagba West local government council, Hon.  Pius Kolawole has announced that he set up an economic team to develop a comprehensive blueprint for accelerated development of the area.

Kolawole made this known in Odo-Ere on Thursday during the inauguration of local government appointees.

The council boss said membership of the economic team will be drawn from among the people of Yagba West with expertise and professional background in different fields of human endeavour.

He enjoined the new appointees to be ready for the challenge of rebuilding the council, urging them to be ready to think outside the box and becoming  agents of change by making sure Yagba West becomes the envy of other local governments within and outside the state.

The chairman tasked the new appointees to carry out research and come up with ideas and initiatives that can improve the revenue generation drive of his administration which will in turn be used for improving the wellbeing of the people of Yagba West.

“My desire to leave behind legacies of improved economy, infrastructural development, improved socio-wellbeing of the good people of Yagba West is of great importance to me. This is why I am calling you people to join me, to share my vision and the vision of our leader, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in our collective efforts to ‘do more’ for the people,” he said. 

He stated that the team will be saddled with the responsibility chart and develop a comprehensive economic blueprints for the benefit of our people and the  good of our administration

Kolawole congratulated the new cabinet members and urged them to consider their individual appointment among the abundant competent and capable human capital available in the local government as a privilege and divine.

He praised Governor Bello for installing elected democratic governance at the third tier of government in the state in conformity with global best practices.

Hon. Usman Yahaya Obaro, who administered the oath of office, admonished the appointees to adhere strictly to the oath and ensure they work to justify their appointments.

Those who took the oath of office today are: Secretary to the Local Government, the Chief of Staff, Supervisory Councillors and Senior Special Assistants.
