The pioneer State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Hadi Ametuo, has formally returned to the Audu/Faleke Political Family fold and pledged his loyalty to the movement, in what family officials described as part of a broader wave of political realignment sweeping the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Hon. Ametuo, who served as Senior Special Assistant on Political Affairs to both the immediate past and current governors of Kogi State, announced his return at a strategic meeting of the family on Tuesday.

Addressing members, he attributed his decision to the ongoing consolidation within the state’s political landscape, and described Hon. James Abiodun Faleke (JAF) as more than a “go-getter,” calling him a game-changer in Kogi politics.

“Hon. Faleke is a politician of vision, focus, and unity. He has brought total reformation and a new direction to the APC in Kogi,” Ametuo said.

A longstanding stalwart of the movement since its days under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)—where he served as Chairman before becoming the pioneer Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State—Ametuo said the reconciliation of members of the Audu/Faleke family marks a turning point not only for the APC in Kogi, but for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and party candidates nationwide ahead of 2027.

According to the statement signed by Umar Isah, Head of Media, Audu/Faleke Political Family, Kogi State, Ametuo also praised the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, describing him as a worthy successor to the legacy of the late Prince Abubakar Audu.

“The Minister is not only preserving his father’s legacy, he is expanding it beyond imagination. His impact in Kogi politics and in his Ministry has been nothing short of exceptional,” he said.

Ametuo further paid tribute to Prof. Isa Daniel, who served as Director-General of the Audu/Faleke Campaign Council in 2015, describing him as one of the most loyal and resilient politicians in the state.

“It takes a man of integrity and grace to remain steadfast to the Audu/Faleke family through the years until Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as President. Prof. Isa Daniel is a product of that sacrifice. Whatever he enjoys in the party today is the fruit of his loyalty and perseverance,” he said.

Rounding off his remarks, Ametuo called on all stakeholders and political leaders in the state to rally behind the Audu/Faleke Political Family under the leadership of Faleke.

“The Audu/Faleke family has made enormous sacrifices for this party. To stand apart from this family, or from the APC at this critical time, is not in the best interest of our people, our party, or the development of Kogi State,” he said.

He commended Faleke and the Minister of Steel Development for their efforts in reuniting members of the family ahead of the 2027 polls.
