Patriots for Growth and Development Initiative (PGDI), a non governmental organisation, has commended the giants strides of Dr Faisal Shaibu for his leadership style in National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
The Executive Director of the group, Salami Isaac Nasim speaking with news men yesterday in Lokoja, said since the appointment and assumption of office in NPHCDA, Dr Faisal Shaibu has brought his wealth of experience garnered for years to bear in improving on the success evidence at the agency.
Salami enthused that Dr Faisal is an epitome of success-driven experience Dr whose reappointmentby President Muhammad Buhari was not a fluke.
“The re-appointment was a recognition of his excellent performance at the agency was not a fluke, it was a worthy strides and hard work that has improved greatly the basic policies and programs of the primary and secondary healthcare sectors in Nigeria,” he said.
“The success of NPHCDA under the result-driven leadership of Dr Faisal Shaibu is evident in the collaborative efforts of the agency with its local and international counterparts in addressing diseases ranging from malnutrition, polio, covid-19 and other globally recognised ailments ravaging third World countries”, Salami added.
He noted that since the pronouncement and certification of Nigeria as polio free by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the 25th of August 2020, Nigerians have been rolling out drums to celebrate the feat as a major milestone in the fight against infectious disease in the country, pointing out that they are unaware that it was the executive director of NPHCDA who piloted the campaign for eradication of the infectious disease, “Dr Faisal Shaibu was the architect of the country’s success”.
