Perpetrators of Anyigba Bank Robbery Will be Apprehended – Kogi CP Vows

Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Bethrand Onuoha, on Friday, visited the scenes of bank robbery and attacks on police stations in Anyigba for on-the-spot assessment.

The visit is coming on the heels of a coordinated attack on two commercial banks and police stations in Anyigba, Dekina local government area of Kogi state, on Thursday.

The Police Commissioner vowed that the hoodlums will be apprehended.

He equally ordered the deployment of Tactical Teams comprising PMF Personnel, Counter Terrorism, Quick Response and Intelligence Units in synergy with other security agencies to restore normalcy in the area.

Meanwhile, one Police Constable paid the supreme price during the exchange of fire with the hoodlums, before the arrival of the reinforced team to the scenes and the attackers fled.

The Commissioner of Police assured of the command’s unwavering commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies as well as patriotic stakeholders in ensuring that Kogi State is safe and secure for all and sundry.

He further tasked the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, to commence investigation into the incident with a view to bringing the perpetrators to deserved justice.

The CP further urged the good people of Kogi State to continue to collaborate with the security agencies with credible information on the activities of anyone they reasonably suspect within their neighborhood.
