In what looks like a disappointment to his party who put him in power as a state legislature, the Deputy Speaker in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Ali Akuh was booed by supporters of the party in Lokoja.

At a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stakeholders meeting, some part stalwarts accused the state lawmaker of engaging in anti-PDP in Kogi state buttressing that Ali Akuh is supporting the intimidating leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Ali Akuh who is a representative of Omala constituency in the state house of Assembly was handed over microphone to speak to PDP supporters on the way forward for the party after losing the 2015 general elections both in federal and state but could only speak for 15 seconds before he was stopped abruptly by aggrieved members chanting “drop the microphone, you are a betrayal to theĀ  people democratic party, go and meet Yahaya Bello so that you will continue with his totalitarian script”.

It took the intervention of former governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and his successor Captain Idris Wada to calm the angry supporters as they believe the presence of the Omala lawmaker is not welcome in the gathering. They visibly angry party supporters demanded that Ali Akuh be banned from speaking at party meetings.

The PDP stakeholder meeting which had in attendance the immediate past Governors of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and Captain Idris Wada together with immediate past deputy governor, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, PDP state Chairman, two senators from the national Assembly and only three out of fifteen PDP lawmakers in the Kogi state House of Assembly.
