PDP Presidential Ticket: Sunday Umoru Felicitate With Atiku Over Victory

The most talked about Nigerian political party primary election for the 2019 Presidential election, is that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary which was held in Port Harcourt on October the 6th, 2018. The PDP presidential primary election paraded political heavy weights in the likes of; Former Nigerian Vice President; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, President of the Nigerian Senate; Dr. Bukola Saraki, Governor of Sokoto State; Aminu Tambuwal, Former Governor of Kano State Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, Former senate president David Mark, Former PDP National Caretaker Committee chairman Ahmed Makarfi, and others may have come and gone, but the memories of the outcome of the primary election is still very fresh.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and Kogi State 2019 gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Sunday Umoru felicitate with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for emerging as the PDP presidential candidate, and described Atiku’s victory is well deserved.

He has also expressed his satisfaction on the conduct of the PDP presidential primary election which he believed has produced a very strong candidate in the person of the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

In a press statement released by Chief Umoru, he further stated that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should be sure of victory in the 2019 presidential election with the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as it’s flag bearer for the said election.

“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar having emerged as the PDP presidential candidate for the 2019 presidential election under a free, fair, and transparent primary election is an indication that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is very ready to take the All progressive Congress (APC) “HEAD-ON” and the battle line has been drawn,” he said.

Chief Umoru also said that, he is seizing this opportunity to urge the Kogi State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chapter to take a cue from the conduct of the PDP presidential primary as a template for its 2019 gubernatorial primary election in Kogi State, and he is also encouraging the Kogi State PDP Chapter to disassociate itself from the corrupt system of election and “money bag politicians” who only rely on rigging elections.
