The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has said that the prayers offered for the state during the pilgrimage to Jerusalem recently has started yielding good results in the State.
Achuba, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester stated this during his family’s Thanksgiving to God for granting him and the entire Kogi state contingents journey mercies to and fro Jerusalem and for God’s favour upon the family throughout the year at the Knowledge of the Truth Church today.
The Deputy Governor said at the holy land, prayers were dedicated to the state for continuous development, good governance and wisdom and understanding gift to the present administration of the state, adding that those prayers have been answered by God.
He said that in no time, the issue of non payment of salaries or delayed salaries would become a thing of the past as the state government has started paying the backlogs of salaries of the cleared workers in the state.
The Deputy Governor commended the present administration of the state led by Governor Yahaya Bello for putting smiles on the faces of the people, assuring that the state will continue to enjoy uncommon transformation under the leadership of Governor Bello.
Further thanking God for his appointment as the Deputy Governor of the state, Achuba said “my status in the society has changed. My living standard has improved tremendously. All glory, honour and adoration be unto the Lord”.
Speaking also, the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Eunice Achuba thanked God for granting her children admission in to various schools and for providing for them the finances to train them.
