Hon. Otunba Bankole Dare Ayo has expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, following his appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Grassroot Mobilisation.
In a statement issued after the announcement, Ayo described the appointment as a landmark honour, saying he was overwhelmed by “great honour, privilege and joy” at being considered worthy of the role by the governor.
He extended special thanks to Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko, PhD, whom he referred to as his boss and “ever progressive leader,” crediting Olumoko’s confidence in him and forthright leadership for making the appointment possible.
“I cannot thank you all enough for the rallying point, show of love, time and sacrifice,” Ayo said, acknowledging the support of those who stood by him through the process.
The newly appointed aide also offered prayers for Governor Ododo, asking for divine wisdom, strength and protection as he continues to steer the affairs of Kogi State.
The appointment adds to the growing list of aides drafted by the Ododo administration to strengthen grassroots engagement and mobilisation efforts across the state, as the governor continues to expand his team ahead of ongoing governance priorities.
