I want the Buharideens to explain to me the rationale behind the neglect of Kabba-Isanlu-OmuAran-Ilorin road by Mr Integrity.
It’s pellucid that the Buharists never knew that the said road was included and captured in the 2017 budget and even approved for #21b with a completion period of about 18months.
My question now is, why did Buhari neglect the road project even after budgeting humongous #21b for it? Where is the #21b?
I remember vividly how the people of the area were celebrating when the news of the road project was aired on all the media channels. But a very discern and intelligent man said, the people shouldn’t rejoice yet but wait for the government to mobilize contractors to site before jubilating. When I heard it, I also corroborated what he asserted.
Now, we are almost at the verge of finishing this year, but the road is still a shadow of itself, a death trap, more ramshackle than before. Why is the federal government shunning and ignoring this very crucial road that links and connects Kogi and Kwara? Is it because it’s not in core North?
What have the people of the area done to deserve this ugly treatment from the same government they gladly voted for? Their hope and expectation have been dashed by the Buhari-led federal government.
Somebody should just tell me the reason why I should support this failed and inept government. Just imagine what motorists and road users pass through while plying this federal road. What a government!
