The end of every race is the beginning of another, the Supreme court judgement has come and gone, affirming Yahaya Bello as the governor of kogi state. A judgement received in good fate.
The most interesting thing that will now occur in the mind of any reasonable individual with the love for the state at heart, is how we can take the state to the height of greatness.
Even though I’m acquainted with the fact that Bello will be our governor till 2020 I still doubt his credibility and efficacy in taking the state to the desired level of development a conclusion I’ve reached subject to his policies and procedures in tackling state issues in the past 8months he has been in lugard house.
But yet I do not want to believe that what was experienced in the past 8months was the best of what you have to offer, I want to believe you can do better than that, and as such I’m craving your indulgence to hit the ground running and bring about the positive side of the #change kogites are longing to see.
Alot of things had gone wrong under your watch, and should it continue like that any longer, then the state will be heading for a total collapse. Government they say is a continuum, and coalition of divergence interest in other to achieve a common goal in the best interest of the state.
I urge you to uphold that mandate you’re entrusted with in spirit of a servant leader and make utmost and judicious use of the scarce resources to better the lots of the poor masses who are at the receiving end of what so ever policy you choose to adopt be it good or bad.
However, in as much as we are praying for you to succeed in your journey as the governor of kogi state, you must also embrace constructive criticism as it will enable you to easily detect where and when necessary to adjust and readjust. As it is said that a government is as good as the type of opposition it’s been faced with. Kogi state belongs to all of us and it is our collective responsibility to make it a better place.
God bless kogi state!!!
