When after the aborted PDP Senatorial primary election billed to be held in Idah I came to my Facebook timeline to write that 2019 Kogi East Senatorial election will be a two horse race between Alh. Jibrin Isah Echocho and Dr  Victor Alewo Adoji, some people thought I was hallucinating maybe as a result of the assumed frustration from the non conduct of the PDP primary and I laughed.
Prior to the date of the primary, we had done our home work well and canvassed to the delegates on the need to vote for Dr Victor Alewo Adoji that so as to lessen the stress of campaigning for votes for the party at the general election because of the grassroot disposition of the candidacy of Adoji.
Our campaign was not about the PDP as a political party, it was mainly about the candidate as we have seen the resolve of the masses to move along individual line than party line going forward. An individual who have the Capacity, Character and Competency to deliver on the mandate.  Unfortunately for the National leadership of the party, they didn’t realize they will be harming the party in the state if they grant automatic ticket to any body in Kogi East even though we warned them through the available means
Today the reality of what we wrote that Adoji will be on the ballot and he will be our next Senator is beginning to stair us in the face. Moreso that the battle is now narrowed down to a two horse race of APC (Jibrin’s Party) and ADC ( Adoji’s Party)  as postulated earlier by me
I see it as insulting as it is demeaning to begin to pair Adoji with Aidoko in an online and on the ground polls. It will be like setting a Keke Napep against a Jet for a race.
This is reflected in all the polls conducted, so far online, with the recent one done by Robert Arome Eboh wherein Adoji pulled 135 votes as against the 4 votes of Aidoko and came out victorious in the poll as Echocho trailed far behind with 117 votes
However, to put all doubts to check I had to do this poll between Adoji and Aidoko where people cast their votes and gave Aidoko 8% of the votes as against the 92% of Victor Alewo Adoji.
I will not do this again and will advise that nobody from the camp of Victor does it too as it is demeaning to begin to pair this two who are not in the same class in political values to the Eastern part of Kogi State.
