Naturally, the idea or spirit in the word ‘automatic’ seem unfair, unjust and unearned. It can be argued that where then lies justice, the reward for loyalty, resources expended, sacrifices and will power?
Furthermore, any serious aspirant should actually love and eagerly wish to put to test his or her love as entitled to the people without prejudice or preference to all or any aspirants!
In many spheres of life, be it academic, public service or the private and business industries, one sometimes hear of special promotions, accelerated promotions, bonuses, fast-track growth etc etc. These in my humble opinion means there are other attributes at play beyond the ordinary; the attributes of superior performance, a better leadership presence, contributions to human and capital developments, the ability to have successfully managed the previous roles or class and the requirements (if any) needed for today’s strategic political victory should come to play.
This, I believe respectfully, should be the narrative of the protagonists and gladiators rather than that the rhetoric of ‘No Automatic Tickets’ and Give Automatic Tickets’.
Simply my thoughts.
