The state was in very, very difficult straits, we were in one of the worst economic situation and even close to total physical exhaustion but today the masses are beginning to have confidence in this administration as the New Direction policy is restoring the hope of common masses.

When Governor Yahaya Bello came on board he met a rotten and crappy civil service commission inflated with large numbers of ghost workers in the working system, and this made it difficult for the past administrations to pay salaries and to develop the state.

In order to right the wrongs, Governor Yahaya Bello decided to weed the existing ghost workers, so as to enable the genuine workers enjoy the fruits of their labour.

People tried sabotaging his plans but he made sure he fought through all the hurdles and succeeded in exterminating
thousands of ghost workers who in the past increased our overhead cost of governance. Today, he is saving over N2 billion from going into the pocket of nonexistent workers.

In fighting corruption, corruption always fights back…

ASUU Kogi state chapter were infiltrated by politicians who are obsessed with power. They decided to shut down all institutions in Kogi state without considering students just to paint this current administration in bad light. GYB fought through, he reopened all tertiary institutions and he is currently sanitizing all the institutions, auditing their account and bringing in discipline to the system. Right now, almost all tertiary institutions in Nigeria are on
indefinite strike but KSU is exempted because of we are blessed with responsible government.

In Agricultural sector, he has performed incredibly well. He has encouraged farmers across the state to go back to farm. He partnered with Federal government anchor borrowers program in order to boost rice production and other farm produce. Today, Kogi state is not left behind in agricultural program and the funds we have been generating
from there has helped increase our internally generated revenue (IGR).

Until today, Kogi state don’t generate revenue we depend solely on the allocation accrued to us from the FG but GYB led administration has changed the tone of the music. He built IGR office and employed the unemployed youth to help in generating revenue for the state.  Many are paying tax in Kogi state today.

Road construction and other infrastructural development is ongoing in Kogi state. GYB has improved the standard of living of our medical doctors and health practitioners in Kogi state by paying them all their outstanding salaries and improved their other packages.

In terms of security, he has been awarded as the best governor. He clamped down on kidnappers and today we are free of kidnappings activities in Kogi state.

As we all know corruption is the enemy of development and good governance. It must be rid off and GYB has done a lot combating with corruption. He gave freedom of communication to the entire youths as he welcome critics and make sure critics don’t make a move that will truncate the internal security of the state.

Transparency in GYB administration is what even the critics can attest to. I give all thanks and credits to his media aides.

Not to be distract by the confuse mass. Time won’t allow me states all the good works he has done.

My sincere gratitude to his Senior Special Assistant on Student Affair, Hon. Joshua Omonu (Levels Pumping).
