The government in Kogi state is married with many slogans like New direction, kogi rising, kogi in safe hands, and the Governor with his self acclaimed nomenclature, the whitelion. I keep asking many of his supporters, what and where is the direction of this government? is it Agriculture, is it infrastructure, it is human development, maybe social security, but I have not seen or heard any formidable veracious answer to my questions.
In Ondo state we have a government that is not up to three months, but politically, from every indications, we are certain the people of Ondo state are happy with their Governor.
In Edo state, Governor Godwin Obaseki have and is demonstrating good political will, this is a government that have not spent up to 8 months, but the government and her people are strictly adhering to the tenets of the social contract. To buttress the facts, the Governor is making the state attractive for investors.
But in Kogi, I beg to use this word, the government is deep asleep, many things are not right in our state, the new direction should not just be a slogan, but it should be a new direction in new dimensions, let the new direction act anew, the new direction should be a call to serve the people in new ways and means. If not, we will have it in reverse order, new direction will automatically become no direction, Kogi in safe hands will be Kogi in wrong hands, Kogi rising will also be Kogi falling.
We pray that the new direction government should receive ideological pills so that they can act anew.
