Sometimes I just wonder how every Tom, Dick and Harry will just pick their pen and write negatively about Dino Melaye. The irony of the whole thing is the fact that they will never write about his exploit and legislative duties as a senator, they will keep a blind eye to that part and write about his character and private life. Which in my own opinion is intrusion.
Why not question his office as a senator and whether or not he is delivering the mandate given to him by the good people of Kogi West Senatorial district? I know you know that you can’t beat him to that path.
Yes Dino may be lousy and irresponsible with his personal and private life but not as a Senator. He may have a bad mouth, even in the red chamber but his bad mouth is dragging development to his constituency.
We may all agree that Sen. Smart Adeyemi is more intelligent and behave more coordinated than Dino, but what has his intelligence and coordination brought to Kogi West apart from long English language which will end up not yielding results?
Who cares if Dino speaks Yoruba, Igala or Ebira on the floor of the Senate? Whatever language he uses that is Witty enough to bring development to his constituency is acceptable by us and I think is acceptable by his constituents.
More worrisome is the fact that 90% of those writing about Dino are not from his constituency. They are either from the East or from the Central part of Kogi State. He doesn’t represent them in any way, yet they see his exploits as their own heartache. You will never see this people write about Sen. Aidoko nor Sen. Ogembe except when they disagree with the inhuman policies of Kogi State government which they hardly ever does.
Let me tell all, Dino Melaye is a successful politician, he was once at the NASS and now in the Senate, he is popular and always blunt in saying what he feels. He is not disappointing his people presently as a Senator And he will not be recalled. Get that fact and stopping writing long English languages that has no bases in politics.
If you feel you are in anyway better than him character wise please get ready to come out for elective positions if you have the popularity to do so ( I know won’t even dare it) and show him how to behave as a productive public officer.
