Opinion: Kogites Are Dying

It’s really weird and uncalled-for seeing civil servants go through hell all in the name of screening on daily basis in Kogi State.

On Thursday, June 7th 2018 at the LGEA/RCM primary school Egume, in Dekina the local government area of Kogi State, civil servants too many to be counted were busy running around with files to be screened whereas what they actually needed is their salaries having worked for it over time.

What on earth is going on?

Speaking of the truth, there is every possibility that these men/women have had nothing to eat since they embarked on this journey from far and near yet would not get paid after all the stress.

The repetition of screening in this state while other states enjoys their pay is becoming ponderous and tiresome.

Unlike last year Christmas, it was rancorous for everybody and now Sallah is fast approaching yet no moves whatsoever is been made towards clearing old debts or payment of current salary and you expect people to survive when they starve and die of hypertension?

How do you expect me to be on a queue for almost 7 hours all to cast my vote on an empty stomach (It’s Death!)?

We are dying on a daily basis and therefore needs food and good medical attention to survive else nobody will be left to govern.

Save Kogi from this primitiveness and let’s have a new life worth living for.
