All thanks to the current booming cashew nuts business in Kogi state that thousands of Kogi state workers are still alive today.

Imagine how families in Kogi state would have survived the past 14 months without salary. It is impossible but Almighty created a way for his beloved people in Kogi state. It is no longer news that thousands of civil servants in Kogi state are being owed between 6 and 14 months salaries by Governor Yahaya Bello. His 14 months-long obnoxious screening and re-screening exercises has left many homes in the state desolate.

But the current rise in cost of cashew nuts at the international market has brought relief to many homes. Workers who cannot trade in this business have family members who are into it and are willing to assist their relatives who have been denied their wages by Kogi government for over a year.

It is interesting to note that the current rate is the highest in recent times. A visit to Igalamela odolu will show that our farmers are happy and our youth are willing to get into the business to assist our long-suffering parents.  Sincerely God has a way of preserving is beloved even in the face of unpaid salaries.

Young men who were practically idle and jobless have since relocated to happening communities to tap into this God-driven opportunity. All our thanks to Almighty God.
