As we draw close to 2019 general elections with a lot of political exploits going on as a build up to what the shape of our next political structure should be all over the nation, Beyond just trying to seek for supports by every intending Aspirants it is important to bring to the court of the general public what defines the strength of every candidate. It is on this note that i have decided to present to you all what distinguishes Hon Bin Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani (BEST) from his contemporaries in the politics of our father land specifically talking about Lokoja Local Government area.
We have found him a man with the right combination of all that is needed in character, good sense of resources and human management and the needed political strength to deliver on his long time and consistent aspiration to serve the good people of Lokoja Local government area.
To be precise, we will specifically say that he possess a great and firm;
1) GRASSROOT SUPPORT: Bin-Ebaiya is a house hold name in lokoja local government area traditional settlement. The late Magajin Gari of Lokoja until his death was known to be a foremost societal man who record shows spent his entire life in not just serving humanity per say but precisely served the royal household in Lokoja being one of the close friends to the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Yahaya Mohammed. This served as a starting point for his son Hon Bin-Ebaiya Shehu Tijjani (BEST) who after receiving a lot of leadership mentoring from his father took up the responsibility of continuing from where his father stopped in serving his PEOPLE.
Today, Honorable Best Political influence can’t be overemphasized due to his long time investments in community development projects across Lokoja Local government.
It is on record that he has involved in quite a lot of community development services such as provision of portable water supply to the traditional settlements, provision of school Kits to primary school students and participating in community projects over the years with a clear show of his interest to do more at the availability of more resources. This has earned him a firm relationship with the indigenous people of lokoja beyond political fancies or gains.
2- EXPERIENCE: Followership they said is not enough to lead, a leader must posses vast experience in other for him to understand what the people’s needs and also drive home meaningful development to his people such as infrastructural development, investors and lots more.
One of the major problem of the Nigeria society today is not due to large followership some leaders posses but due to large inexperience leaders occupying a very significant position in our dear nation. Honorable BEST has over the years traveled far and wide in search of knowledge and also in terms of service to the fatherland. For someone who has spent over 15years of service in the Nigerian Port Authority and has traveled to over 10 world class countries including England, Spain, Germany Norway, France, Italy, Holland, Belgium Turkey and South Africa, he speaks so much volume of experience.
Aside this, he posses the right mix of a academic qualifications. All these plus together with the fact that he posses grassroot base and home in knowledge with the challenges of his people gives him a good place in the society to be considered with the people’s mandate.
3- YOUTH ENGAGEMENT: Today, the larger portion of his support base are the youths. As a youth, he does not only have relationship with his contemporaries but known to being part of whatever it is that is in the best interest of the area that they engage in. He has over the years in whatever legitimate means he can, gives out support to youths across the Lokoja / Koto federal constituency.
Team BEST is arguably the largest political family in Lokoja owing to the building and sustaining of the group controlled by the youths.
4- CAPACITY TO DELIVER: Time without numbers Hon Best has proven himself to be a force to reckon with when it comes to mobilization capacity. Evident enough is the reality which came into our political mainstream after the last Bye election exercises in Kogi west and Lokoja /koto respectively.
Hon BEST produced one of the best results for the APC in his polling unit in the just concluded bye election to replace the vacant seat occasioned by the death of his Boss, late Hon Buba Jibril who was a third term serving member of the federal House of Representatives.
When you want to define a young leader with capacity, Honorable Best is the real definition of capacity when it matters most.
5- CONSISTENCY: In a world of uncertainties and where consistency seems to be a rare quality amongst our politicians, Hon Best has distinguished himself amongst all. He has given a real meaning to what is meant when politics is described as a serious business.
Until now, amongst his peers, he is the only one out of the five of them who has long been targeting the position of Lokoja Local government area. The rest couldn’t hold up to their dreams for reasons best known to them. Hon BEST has never at any time even think of quitting because he believes in his dream. Great enough, this hasn’t stopped him from engaging in his grassroot support for those whom it matters most. He has remained “consistently consistent” over over the years in his quest to represent the good people of Lokoja Local government area.
All these put together with more revealing reasons is why Hon BEST stands a force to reckon with for a better emancipation in both politics and governance at the grassroot level.
