The Executive Chairman of Ankpa local government council of Kogi State, Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim has expressed profound gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja for seeing to the 90% completion of the ‘Operation Light Up Kogi East’ project.
Abagwu made this known through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mustapha Adams Aikoye, in Ankpa.
He stated that the people of council will forever be grateful to Bello, Onoja and other stakeholders for seeing to the completion of the project.
“The people of Ankpa local government has been living in perpetual darkness for over 13 years. The tremendous jubilation and goodwill messages to the progressive new direction administration over the rural electrification project, which had gradually become reality at this time, will enhance productive use and economic growth,” he said.
According to him, the contractors assured that the power supply will be rotated between Ankpa, Dekina and Idah local government areas.
“The work is still ongoing on some rural areas and assured that the council is in collaboration with the federal Lawmakers and State Assembly members in order to give the necessary support to ensure the Operation Light Up Kogi East project goes around across the 13 wards in the council,” he added.
Abagwu commended the efforts of the contractors and assured them of his support in collaboration with the stakeholders at all level to ensure residents enjoy timely power supply.
