One Year Anniversary: Okun Devt Association Celebrates Gov Ododo’s Transformational Leadership

Okun Development Association (ODA), the apex socio-cultural organisation of the Okun people of Kogi State, has congratulated the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, for a glorious and impactful one year in office.

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the association, led by Ambassador (Chief) Akenson Rotimi, Lisa of Egbe, the President-General, noted with a high sense of satisfaction and commendation, that the one year of Governor Ododo in the saddle as Governor has been a most remarkable one, considering the long list of exceptionally innovative programs and initiatives of his administration, particularly the relatable pan-Kogi and people-oriented policies which he has implemented, and still plans to deliver in the remainder of his tenure.

In a statement signed by the Acting National Publicity Secretary, Araba Rufus Aiyenigba, ODA commended the human-face of Governor Ododo’s administration, its transparent and accountable governance orientation, and his admirable, people-skill, humble disposition to leadership and power management.

“ODA proudly identifies with the people’s governor for his visible and indelible imprints in all critical sectors of the life of the state and its people across the three Senatorial Districts.

“In only one year, the Ododo impact is undeniably huge in health, education, agriculture, environmental sustainability, security, and social infrastructures.

“Of particular distinction in the highly commendable records of this administration, is the life-changing new order of welfarism for which the people are happy, and the humane leadership approach that defines the Ododo era, for which he is widely celebrated across the length and breadth of the State, and beyond.

“ODA, on behalf of the Okun nation, deeply appreciates the governor for prioritising education and human capital development.

“Of specific reference is his demonstrable huge commitment to making the newly established Kogi State University Kabba, a first class citadel of learning and flagship institution in the comity of its peers,” the statement read.

While wishing Governor Ododo God’s guidance, wisdom, and continued people’s goodwill, ODA prayed for him to be blessed with the gift of men and women who will support him to deliver on his grand vision for unlocking the state’s latent potentials for greatness to the greater good of all the people of the State, and the nation in general.
