The fact is, politics is all about interest, selfishness and self centeredness in Nigeria. We have those that are benefiting from opposition and those that are benefiting from the government in power.
In Kogi State for instance, the bitter truth is that most of the politicians are only after their interests. Even the opposition is only after taking over power without not really having the interest of the masses at heart. There’s a high tendency that most of those parading themselves as Kogi liberator might even be worse than Governor Yayaha Bello if given the opportunity to govern.
We live in a society where politicians always take advantage of the masses to get what they want.
There is no government that will not favor some people. Gov Ibro, Gov. Wada government favoured some people just as Governor Bello administration is favouring some people. Those who benefit from government directly or indirectly market and support them just as those who are gaining and benefiting from opposition will do anything to keep fighting/attacking the government in power using the masses as tool.
In my community where I come from, we have benefited a lot under the administration of Gov Yahaya Bello and no doubt, we will want that development strive to continue and that’s some of the basic reason for our support for the current administration in Kogi State, knowing that one of our son in person of Double Chief Edward Onoja is part of the government and he deserve our support.
