Immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon Agboola Ajayi, has promised to connect coastal communities in the state with neighbouring Kogi state with a viable railway system.

Speaking at a media parley in Akure, Ajayi said the railway system will boost local economy and reduce highway traffic.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant promised transformative infrastructure and economic revitalization.

Ajayi said his campaign will focus on leveraging Ondo’s natural resources and geographical advantages to foster economic growth.

He criticized the current approach to port development, suggesting instead that private investment could be attracted with the right infrastructure, particularly in the riverine areas.

With the PDP governorship primary looming, Ajayi emphasized the importance of transparency and unity among aspirants. He expressed his commitment to the party, stating he would not defect if the primary process is conducted fairly.
