The initiator of Omoluabi Foundation, Olabode Adeyemi has called on all indigenes of Kogi state especially Kogi West senatorial district to afford themselves the opportunity made available by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the ongoing voters registration exercise to get registered.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja earlier today, Omoluabi Adeyemi stressed that there is an urgent need to sensitize the populace on the need to ensure prompt registration as this is the foundation of securing good governance in the interest of the people.
He added that the Omoluabi Foundation will further deploy necessary sensitization process of encouraging the people to turn out for the registration exercise.
“I wish to call on all qualified persons, who by one reason or the other missed the previous exercise and those who have just attained the voting age, to come out to register. I also wish to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission for the early process of preparation for future elections. I like to therefore request for the Independent National Electoral Commission to use the opportunity availed them by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria to create more polling units in the newly developed areas across Kogi West senatorial district,” he said.
