The maiden edition of Omala Beauty Pageant is set to hold in Abejukolo this year on 28th December.
According to the organizers of the event, Sofred Entertainment, the beauty pageant is poised to educate and promote Omala ideals while also creating a platform for global advancement for Omala youths.
The pageant event is for both male and female Omala indigenes.
According to Sofred Entertainments representative, Juliet Paul Ajeka, the objectives of the Omala beauty contest is to encourage, motivate and guide the winners in promoting their mother land. Apart from been a social development, it is also an educative and motivating platform.
Juliet explained that the Omala event is born out of passion to build on the efforts of patriotic sons and daughters of Omala land in developing the area. She acknowledged that Omala has produced a Governor of the state and many high great men and women in both public and private practise.
Interested contestants must be indigenes of Omala aged above 18 years. Contestants must have at least Secondary School Certificate to be eligible for the contest.
Sofred Entertainment called on patriotic sons and daughters of Omala land to identify with this event and sponsor same.
