Olofu Assures NATA, Entrepreneurs of Adequate Support From Kogi Govt

Kogi State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Olofu Gabriel Yunusa, has assured entrepreneurs in the state of government’s continued support.

Olofu gave the assurance when he played host to North Central Executives of Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

He informed NATA officials that his ministry interacts with entrepreneurs, artisans and investment agents on a regular basis to encourage entrepreneurial development in the state.

“With over 4,000 members in Kogi State, cutting a across the twenty one local government areas in the state, NATA provides employment for the teaming skilled and unskilled population of the state and the nation in general. This has helped to curb drug trafficking, banditry and other social vices in Kogi state,” he said.

He revealed that the Ministry of Commerce has good working relationship with NATA, Kogi state chapter, and has helped a large number of her members to secure grants, as well as ensuring political stability of the association. 

Olofu charged NATA to work towards ensuring that their members effectively utilize the opportunity provided by survival fund scheme grants extended to them to expand their shops, as well as helping the younger apprentices own more shops.

He assured NATA that the Ministry is ready and willing to synergize with the association at all times for the wellbeing of her members, economic development of the state and Nigeria.

The Chairman of NATA, Kogi state chapter, Comrade Danladi Sunday Umar, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for the Ministry’s encouragement and support to the association politically, as well as facilitating grants for members. 

Danladi pledged that the association would partner with the Ministry for economic development of the state.

The National Vice Chairman, North Central, described Governor Yahaya Bello as a performer whose zeal, love, courage and commitment to governance has transformed Kogi State to an enviable height.

While describing Kogi as the most secured state in Nigeria, the national body of the union promised to work with Governor Bello to transform Nigeria at large.

The zonal officer from Niger State commended Governor Bello for the good work he is doing in Kogi State, adding that the people of Niger State has observed his giant strides from distance and have constituted a supporters’ team for GYB2PYB project come 2023.
