The Executive Vice Chairman of Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state, Hon. Blessing Aishat Ekele, has condoled the Speaker of the State Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole over the sudden demise of his wife after a brief illness.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, Mrs Ekele said the announcement of the unexpected death of the Speaker’s beloved wife came to her as a shock, which has left her devastated.
She said though death remains an inevitable end of every mortal on earth, we always pray to live and exercise our blessings till our very old age, before we call it quits in this hellish earth to meet our creator.
“We must all die in one way or the other, it is a price every mortal must pay on earth. It is natural. From dust we are created, and from dust we shall return, so said the spiritual book. We have no quarrel with this natural phenomenon which defies solution of human knowledge.
“But we always pray to Almighty God to live a fulfilled life before He calls us home. It is painful to see a young promising person and leader like late Pastor Esther Zenab Kolawole to give up her ghost at the mid term of her life, when the state, family and women folks needed her most. May God repose her soul and give her family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” she expressed.
Hon. Blessing Aishat Ekele, the Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state, who said the women folks in the state have lost another light by the fang of death, prayed for the family of the deceased, women of Kogi and her admirers to take heart bearing in mind that we will be resolved by nature one day and meet her in the bossom of the Lord.
It could be recalled that Mrs Esther Zenab Kolawole, the wife of Kogi State Speaker, died at the early hours of 5th December in a Lagos hospital after a brief illness at the age of 50 years.
