Since democracy returns the first Assembly member that represented Olamaboro was Hon. Achile Abugede from Ogugu District (1999 – 2003), he contested under the platform of the then ANPP. Hon. Achile Agbugede re-contested and lost to the PDP candidate in 2003.
Hon.Zakari Shaibu Ohiemi from Imane District represented Olamaboro from 2003 to to 2007 and was re-elected for a second term 2007 under the platform of the PDP and he is the first and only person to have represented Olamaboro twice in the State House.
Williams Adejo (Okadigbo) was elected in 2011 under the platform of PDP before he was removed by Court and replaced with Hon Gabriel Yunusa Olofu from 2012 to 2015. In 2015 Hon. Gabriel Yunusa Olofu lost to Hon. Linus Enenche of the APC. By this Hon Linus Enenche is the current member representing Olamaboro Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Something that’s peculiar among all the people that have represented Olamaboro in the KSHA is that they where all given a returning ticket to contest in respective of the districts or region they came from, so what is the sin of Hon. Linus Enenche that he don’t deserves the return ticket of the APC? Why should the party he dedicated his time, energy, resources to build in Olamaboro and Kogi state at large be the one that want him down by all means?
I personally understood the dissension between some of the lawmakers and the present administration. Hon. Linus Enenche falls into the category of those that ran out of luck from the state government because of their stands. As a man of integrity whose integrity is tested and trusted since the time he was Olamaboro Education Secretary, so far he has also proven him self in the house of Assembly that’s he’s truly a man of integrity.
As a man who stood for the masses with up to two bills, a vibrant member. He still have projects to his name. He drilled bore holes at Ofa, Okpo and Emagaba Ogugu, constructed ten market stalls in each of the following districts; Agaliga, Etukwo, Imane, Adeh, Okpo, Adupi, Ogugu and Alagani Okpo Olamaboro. He also constructed okada park at Agaliga Eturkwo, constructed health care centre at Mabenyi Imani with procurement of SUMEC Firman 500kv generator to power their mosque. He’s doing all this under a government that are fighting him because of his stand against bad governance.
Honestly, Hon. Linus Enenche deserve a second term in office and he need everyone of us support. No doubt that some people are just too blind to see. Development to some is until he comes to their door step and give them money before they know he is functioning and to some they can’t see anything good in him because their pay masters says so. But the fact remains that Hon. Linus Enenche is a man of justice and integrity, he has refused to ally with the governor in his inhuman treatment because of the love he has for his people and the fear of God in him!
Still to make his people happy, he uses his salary to do what ever he can and some people who don’t even know the origin of Olamaboro would be somewhere running mouth.
Hon. Linus Enenche is like a political party in Olamaboro as the people will always stand by him.
