Comrade Bobby Ujah has declared his intention to represent Olamaboro State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The declaration which took place in the residence of Ogugu ward III party chairman of APC, Olamaboro chapter, attracted supporters and party faithfuls.
Addressing party faithfuls at his ward (Ogugu Ward-III), Comrade Ujah thank all the executives for giving him the privilege to be in the presence of the loyal party members who despite all the crisis that rocked the party stayed to help it rebuild and consolidate.
He highlighted his antecedents, his achievements and his manifesto. He promised to provide quality representation for his people if elected.
He highlighted carefully how he will make Olamaboro Constituency great again, to revisit the issue of legislative oversight functions.
He also mentioned education, empowerment, constituency projects as among his cardinal points.
He further highlighted the need to consult from the grassroots cannot be over emphasized hence his decision to start from the wards, as he solicited support from his ward members ahead of the APC primaries. He added that his intention to contest the Olamaboro House of Assembly seat is borne out of the desire to contribute his quota to the growth and development of Olamaboro land with youths and women as his focal point of interest and promised if given the chance to serve he will not fail them.
And as man who believes in backing words with actions, he directed his Campaign team to commence immediately the empowerment of 50 businesswomen economically to improve on their small-scale businesses in his ward and also extend the kind gesture across the remaining 9 wards in the local government.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of his ward, Elder Mathew Ameh, who described Comrade Ujah as “a man of integrity” who is emulating the good legacies of his late father.
He implored the people to support him with all that they have in capacity. He expressed optimism that the aspirant will represent them well and assured Comrade Ujah of their unalloyed support which they said will also be extended to Governor Yahaya Bello come 2019.
