Okun Youths Summit: VOMY Lauds OYC for Initiative

Voice of Mopamuro Youths (VOMY) has lauded the first Okun Youths Summit initiated by Okun Youths for Change (OYC) – the first Non Governmental social group which is bringing Okun youths together on a journey of simultaneous growth and development.
The convener and leader of VOMY, Julius Olushola Abel while interacting with journalists on Wednesday, said the nature of youths which makes them display vigour in all endeavours needs lots of orientation and reorientation, in order to avoid unnecessary exigencies which can have a detrimental effect on the future society.
The Okun Youth Summit which was tagged ‘Youths and Politics’, (2019 In Focus) is aimed at sensitizing youths in their conduct during electioneering period, politics, leadership and governance.
The Summit will feature lots of great Speakers like; Barr. Babatunde Irukera, Prof. Timothy Asobele, Bashorun M.D. Eseyin, Comr. Oladele John Nihi and others. Chairing the occasion is the Speaker, KSHA, Rt. Hon. Matthew Olushola Kolawole.
VOMY also seize this as an opportunity to call for attendance of all Okun Youths across all divides and affiliation.
The programme is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 21st of April, 2018 at College of Agriculture, Kabba by 10am.
The programme will have in attendance lots of Okun Friends like, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward Onoja; Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Hon. (Engr.) Abubakar S. Ohere and other prominent Kogites.
It would be recalled that National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter under the chairmanship of Comr. Oladele Nihi and the State Government, through the office of the Special Adviser, Youth Empowerment Sports and Students Affairs, Bashorun M.D. Eseyin recently held a statewide similar Youth Summit, this is a manifestation that Kogi Youths under the leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bella are striving to secure a better today and tomorrow for themselves, the State and the Nation at large.
“This is an opportunity for all Okun youths to come together and reason a reasonable future for Okun nation”, he concluded.
