The Okun Development Initiative (ODI) has expressed its deep condolences to the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman of the Okun Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, on the passing of his wife, Her Royal Highness, Queen Marie Ige Owoniyi.
In a statement released today, the ODI conveyed its heartfelt sympathy to the Obaro, the royal family, and the entire Okun community during this period of mourning. The Initiative acknowledged the significant role Queen Marie played in the community’s development.
The ODI statement described Queen Marie as a beloved, respected, pillar of strength whose presence will be deeply missed. The organization prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and for strength and comfort for the Obaro and the family.
