Okene II: Kogi Assembly Member, Zakari Yusuf Embarks on Grassroot Visitation, Gives Account of Stewardship

Member representing Okene II Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Zakari Yusuf Eneve (Nescafe) on Monday embarked on another round of ward visitation to interact with his constituents to give accounts of his 10 months in office as a legislator in the state House of Assembly.

Speaking at the All Progressive Congress (APC) party secretariat in Obehira axis of Okengwe district, Hon. Zakari thanked party members for their continue support for the party and it leadership and assured stakeholders from the four wards of Okene II constituency that he is prepared to keep providing good representation in the house while reiterating his commitment to ensure the state government addresses critical areas of needs of the people especially human capital development, attract more infrastructure to the area and provision of job opportunities for the youth.

The lawmaker also maintained that in the last 10 months, his office has been able to facilitate appointments of three indigents of Okene II constituency into the state civil service, grant full university scholarship for a member of the constituency (an orphan) and provision of numerous financial interventions for the people to address various health challenges, school fees payment and provision of business support grants for petty traders.

He said over 350 artisans from his constituency were recently registered by his office to participate in the forthcoming federal government skills acquisition and empowerment program coordinated by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

Hon. Zakari who also visited and interacted with the people of Upogoro/Odenku ward, members of his Central Working Committee (CWC), party stakeholders in Abuga/Ozuja ward, community leaders, some traditional rulers, youth and women organisations enjoined everyone to remain steadfast in their support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as the governor’s consolidation agenda have begin to yield positive results in the life of the people.

At each level of his engagement with members of constituents, Hon. Zakari donated huge sums of money to them as part of his palliative measures to cushion the effects of economic hardship and of course enable the people enjoy Eid-El-Fitr sallah celebration with ease.
