The lawmaker representing Okene l State constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed has assured the people of Okene l of more quality representation and dividends of democracy.
Lawi gave the assurance on Friday during the inauguration of his 2019 campaign team. He stated that the team is on a quest to bequeath a lasting democratic legacy to the people.
Lawi who is seeking a return to the State House of Assembly in 2019 also met with some of his supporters to chart the way forward.
He said the team consists of some top political bigwigs, some officials of APC from the seven wards of Okene l State constituency and will be headed by the new Director General of his campaign organization, Hon. Abdullahi AbdulMalik.
Lawi urged the campaign team to work towards the success of the party at all levels of elections.
The inauguration which was done at the residence of Sen. AT Ahmed, Checkpoint, Okene had in attendance the National chairman Lawi Political Movement, Engr. Ahmed Muhammed, Okene local government supervisor for health, Hon. Suleiman Jatto, supervisor for education, Alh. Ishaq, supervisor for Agric, Hon. Musari Yahaya, Hon. Jibril.
The National Chairman Lawi campaign movement, Engr. Ahmed Muhammed, when reading out the list of the committee named Hon. Abdullahi AbdulMalik as the Director General of Lawi campaign and chairman of the committee.
Other members of the committee includes Samari Yahaya, Hon. Sanity, Yusuf Abdul, Sanni and 25 others.
The committee did not only has its party delegates in the list but also has members from the seven wards of Okene l constituency.
Speaking at the event, Engr. Ahmed urged the committee members to work together and ensure that all APC candidates emerged in the 2019 general election.
Also speaking at the event, Hon. Musari Yahaya who is also the APC local government Director General charged the newly inaugurated committee not to relent in their effort to make the party victorious in 2019 election.
The new Director General of Lawi campaign Organization, Hon. Abdullahi AbdulMalik promised to do all within their ability to see the party emerge victorious in the forthcoming election.
Hon. AbdulMalik was appointed by Hon. Lawi to chair its national campaign council for his re-election in 2019.
The campaign team have assured Hon. Lawi that they will put in their best to not only ensured him of victory but a landslide victory and to all APC candidates in the state.
