House of Assembly hopeful, Ishaq Asuku Ilyas has applauded Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for not just approving the award of contract but for the prompt mobilizing of contractors to site of the Okene-Inoziomi-Eika rural road abandoned by past administrations.
Asuku said it is regrettable that successive governments in Kogi State abandoned this road which links the locality with other neighboring communities.
According to him, “the terrible state of the road had continue to make life unbearable for our people over the years, that is why I am particularly grateful to the Governor for his intervention.
“I want to therefore, on behalf of the good people of Adavi Constituency, express our appreciation to the peoples’ Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello and Honorable Engr. Abdulmumini Sadiq, Commissioner for Works, Land and Housing, for this gesture of remembering our neglected communities.
“We won’t forget in a hurry as we wait patiently to pay back in kind during the next gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
“I want to also commend the State House of Assembly member representing Adavi Constituency, Hon. Muktar Bello Adoke for supporting Governor Bello to see that this project is brought to fruition through legislative proceedings as regards approvals and appropriation and we are confident that when completed, the road would improve the lives of the people as well as the economy of the community.”
