It is on record that, Kogi state governor, Capt. Idris Wada ordered the resignation of all local government council chairmen seeking elective positions in the 2015 general elections.
But the concerned council chairmen seem not to act in conformity to that order. On Thursday, 13th November, Okene local government chairman, Honorable Ahmed Ogembe was reported to have embarked on a street rally with his supporters, paying consultative visits to all the local governments in his constituency.
Our reporter spoke with some PDP stakeholders (Names withheld) in Adavi local government and they condemned the action of the Okene council chairman, Ahmed Ogembe as an act of misconduct by flouting the directive of the governor.
