As part of his effort to sustain the peace and security of lives in the Local Government Area, the Administrator of the Council, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad holds security meeting with traditional rulers to fashion out ways to improve the peaceful coexistence and of course consolidate relative peace in the land.
The Council Administrator also passed the state government directive on the issue of unrecognise traditional rulers within the Local Government. He said henceforth there will be no installation of traditional rulers without the permission of the local government and the approval of the traditional Council.
He stated that the local government will also constitute a task-force to enforce this directive.
He charged the monarchs to be security conscious, be vigilant and report any suspected persons or groups in their domain to that may likely cause threat to peace and security of the local government to his office.
The Ohi of Okene/Okengwe kingdom, who spoke on behalf of the traditional council, lauded the efforts of the Council Administrator on security and commended the state government for the initiative.
They promised to work closely with the authority to maintain peace and order in the Council.
