Member representing Okene I state constituency, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed has commiserated with the families of the victims of the road accident, which claimed so many lives on Monday at sharp-corner checkpoint, Okene.
Hon. Lawi, in a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Danfulani Lukman, stated that the tragic loss of lives on this our road is becoming alarming, hence, the need for immediate action by government to rehabilitate those roads for the safety of lives of the road users.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives in the road mishap and pray that Almighty Allah will grant their families the fortitude to bear the loss while also wishing those who sustained injury speedy recovery.
Hon. Lawi stated that the accident was another indication that there is need for urgent intervention to quickly rehabilitate our roads and also ensure that the scope and quality are not compromised.
