The people of Okene 1 state assembly constituency of Kogi State are helpless in the hands of the duo of Hon. Ahmed Ogembe and Hon. Stephen Mayaki, the embattled chairman Okene LGA and Commissioner for Land and Urban Development respectively. They are both from Odenku village of Okene LGA.
The duo are toying with the fate of all the people; while Ahmed Ogembe favoured one AbdulHamid Momoh from Odenku village, Engr. Mayaki Stephen is canvassing supports for an alleged murderer of a former House of Assembly member, Late Aliyu Onusagba.
Whereas there are credible and popular aspirants who can deliver and had worked round the clock aspiring to represent the good people of the constituency. Odenku where Abdulhameed Momoh hails is in Okene II State constituency; What a kind of Colonialism?
In order to maintain and promote the PDP motto: “Justice, Unity and Progress”, I use this medium to call on PDP stakeholders to give all aspirants a level playing ground.
I want to assure all that if any of these two candidates is endorsed and voted for at PDP primary tomorrow, it will spell doom for PDP, and APC will certainly catch on that to win the general election come to 2015.
