Okehi LG Secretary, Matthew James Omeiza Greets Muslim Faithfuls on Eid-el-Fitr

Honourable Matthew James Omeiza, Secretary of Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the council on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting of the year 2024.

In a statement which he personally signed and made available to Journalists on Wednesday, Mr Spreading noted that the end of Ramadan fast, which is celebrated as Eid-El-Fitri, is a season that instructs the ethics of virtue and closeness to God.

He said that the practice of waiting, self denial, prayers which is the hallmark of fasting, is one of the cardinal templates of sacrifice, which he enjoins the people of his local Government , Kogi and Nigeria to embrace for the greater good of the country.

“In addition to the above, the forgiveness and reconciliation tenets of the fasting period, which cut across all tribes in Nigeria, where Muslim umma are, reminds us of our oneness and togetherness as a nation. It is, therefore, an opportunity for us to appreciate and celebrate with one another, as a people bounded in love and unity,” he added.

Hon. Matthew, however, enjoined the people of the local Government to eschew anything capable of causing crisis before , during and after the celebration of the Eid-el-fitri so as to ensure peaceful co-existence Among the people of Okehi local government.

He equally used the opportunity to call on the people of Kogi to continue support Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in his efforts to transform and consolidate on the achievement of the leader, Alhaji Yahaya Bello

He said the people of Okehi LG and Kogi state to come out and pray for his victory at the court down to the supreme for the good work to be continued in the state.
