He, Matthew James Avabee, is blessed with in-born leadership traits from his days in primary school to secondary level where he was Health/Social Prefect Boy from JSS 3 till he graduated. He was president of press and debate club. His reign witnessed tremendous progress in set objectives of the club and the school.
Matthew James Avabee was a young dogged comrade in his university days at the prestigious Uniben and NAKOSS National, where he showed his great potentials in developmental and progressiveness of his fellow comrades through his proactive sacrificial representation.
He is a ‘Smile Wearer’ along with his smiling face and a charming open teeth that captivates his audience whenever he is on podium to deliver speeches.
His political horizon is beyond the shores of Nigeria as he is currently 2nd elected speaker of Commonwealth Youth Leadership Parliament, an organization that bring youths across 63 Commonwealth nations together under Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth as the Grand Matron.
Matthew James Avabee in his quest for brighter future for affordable and quality education runs two different NGOs with the aim of helping the less privileged children by providing them with school materials, food items and sets of computers to selected schools through partnership with UNICEF, UNESCO and other supranational organizations.
He is a also a nominee for Future Africa Leaders Foundation in 2016.
He is one of the youths in Okehi local government who mobilized and get many Okehian registered for APC in 2014 when the party was newly formed.
Recently, after carefully observing the backwardness in development that our people have been deprived of for long through bad representation at the State House of Assembly, we the concerned youths resolved to call on Matthew James Avabee to look back home to salvage the decadence in the legislation system of Okehi Constituency.
