Ohon Peoples’ Foundation Celebrates Cultural Heritage in Grand Finale

The grand finale of the Ohon Peoples’ Foundation Day 2024 held on the 17th of June, 2024 at Ansaru-Islam Primary School I, Iluke Road, Ayegunle Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State, Nigeria was a vibrant celebration of culture and tradition.

Highlights of the event included the decoration of His Royal Highness, Oba (Hon.) Lateef Folorunsho Haruna, the Olu of Ayegunle Gbede as the Grand Patron of the foundation. The day featured cultural displays, a traditional wedding and the presentation of a little bride to the National President of the Ayegunle Gbede Descendants Union, Mr. Ahmed-Ade Fatai.

The event was musically enriched by Taye Turaya with Otunba Ayo Olabiyi (Bobo B) and Erelu Lilian Serah serving as masters of ceremonies.

Distinguished guests included Arch. (Hon.) Salman Idris, Member representing Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu Federal Constituency; Hon. Taofik A. Isah, Director-General of the Kogi State Project Monitoring Agency; Pastor H. A Abimbola, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayegunle Gbede; Alhaji Abdulrasheed Saidu Arekemase, Chief Imam of Ayegunle Gbede; Pastor I. S. Abdullateef of First Baptist Church; and Rev. A. O. Ayepeku.
