Ogbeha Donates Relief Materials to Kogi Flood Victims

A former senator of Kogi West Senatorial District, Tunde Ogbeha, has distributed relief materials to victims of flood disaster in Kontonkarfe area of the state.

Speaking during the distribution which held at the palace of the Ohimege of Kotonkarfe, Ogbeha said the gesture was to cushion effects of the flood disaster on the people.

He noted that the relief materials were provided in collaboration with Mainstream Energy Company, Abuja.

Ogbeha said he would continue to contribute his “widow’s mite” to the wellbeing and development of his constituents.

The items included 340 (50kg) bags of rice, 60 bags of salt, 60 (10 liters) of vegetable oil, 250 mattresses and six live cows.

A representative of Mainstream Energy, Usman Umar, said the gesture was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Receiving the items, the Ohimege-Igu of KontonKarfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isah Koto, lamented that flooding had become a recurring decimal in his domain.
