The Executive Chairman of Ofu Local Government, Hon. Musa Muhammed Lawal, has expressed profound grief and heartfelt sorrow over the untimely passing of his beloved Deputy, Hon. Joy Omaga Ojali.
In a deeply emotional statement, the Chairman described the late Deputy Chairman as a woman of rare strength, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the service of the people. He noted that her death is not only a personal loss to him but a monumental tragedy to the entire Ofu Local Government and beyond.
Hon. Musa Muhammed Lawal lamented that Hon. Joy Omaga Ojali was a pillar of support in his administration—an embodiment of humility, wisdom, and compassion—whose commitment to grassroots development and the welfare of the people remained unmatched. He added that her passion for service and her genuine love for humanity will forever be remembered and cherished.

“With a heavy heart and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I mourn the painful departure of my dependable partner in progress. Hon. Joy Omaga Ojali was more than a Deputy; she was a sister, a confidant, and a tireless servant of our people. Her absence has created a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” the Chairman stated.
He extended his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, the people of Ofu Local Government, friends, political associates, and all who were touched by her impactful life. He prayed that God grants her eternal rest and gives all those she left behind the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
“Though she is gone, her legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us. We will honor her memory by upholding the values she stood for and by continuing the work she so passionately believed in,” he concluded.
