Member of House Representatives for Yagba Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Customs and Excise, Hon Leke Abejide on Wednesday received business tycoon, socialite, entertainer and philanthropist, Obinna Iyiegbu also known as “Obi Cubana”, on a courtesy visit at his private office in Abuja.
During the visit, Iyiegbu, who is Chairman of the Cubana Group, said as a businessman, he does not visit politicians “but for a man with a high pedigree” like Abejide whose giant strides in his constituency stand him out as one rare Representative who has set a high precedence for others to follow. As Chairman, Customs and Excise Committee, he noted that Abejide’s impact towards ensuring positive economic indicators, growth, and businesses to thrive in Nigeria is significant to his numerous achievements.
“Your dedication to promote good precedence in Nigeria especially as the Chairman, House Committee on Customs in the House of Representatives to see that the system is sanitized and we have a functional and stable economy is indeed a good development from you. I have heard of your good deeds in your constituency and I can not but love the things you stand for”, he said.
In his remarks, Abejide described the encounter as “warm, engaging and solid” highlighting discussions on business, legislation and its roles in inspiring and uplifting the young ones .
“Our business industries are essential to Nigeria’s future and I remain committed to supporting legislations that improve growth and create a friendly and competitive business environment which is a vital pillar of national development. This visit is a testament to growing synergy and collaboration between governance and cooperate business as we continue to strengthen excellence on the global stage,” he said.
