Obaro of Kabba: “I Have Lost a Father Figure” – Senator Ogembe

The Senator Representing Kogi Central Senatorial Disrict, Distinguished Sen Ahmed Salau Ogembe, has expressed shock on the news of the death of HRM Oba Dr Michael Folorunso Olobayo, OON, JP Obaro of Kabba and Chairman Okun Traditional Council.

Ogembe stated his heartfelt condolence to the immediate family and the Okun Nation. The Senator also commiserates with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahya Bello and the entire citizens of Kogi state, on the death of the leading Traditional ruler.

In a statement issued by the media assistant to the senator, Adetayo Opeyemi,  Distinguished Senator Ahmed Salau Ogembe said “The death of His Majesty the Obaro is a personal loss to me. He was a father figure to me and I will miss him dearly. Unbehalf of my family and the people of Kogi Central Senatorial Disrict, I hereby extend our heartfelt condolences to People of Kabba Kingdom and the entire Okun Nation. I also wish to commiserate with the chief mourner, His Excellency Alh Yahya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State and the entire citizens of Kogi state.

“Kabiyesi was a great Mornach who was blessed with wisdom and intellect. He Transformed the Ancient Kabba Kingdom into a prosperous urban centre.

“We shall miss his Majesty the Obaro very much, because his contributions to the overall development of Kogi state was very relevant. We love His Majesty But God loves him Most. We pray God to grant us the fortitude to bear the loss of our dear father. May God grant the Kabiyesi eternal rest in Paradise. Ameen.”
