The Agbana of Isanlu and Chairman of Yagba East Traditional Council, His Majesty, Oba Moses Babatunde Etombi has applauded the donation of relief materials to victims of rainstorm in his domain.
In a statement on Friday, Oba Etombi expressed the profound gratitude of the people of Isanlu Community to Governor Usman Ododo for remembering and identifying with the victims.
According to him, the gesture, coming at a time that the nation is passing through economic difficulties is timely as it will ameliorate the hardship faced by the victims since the disaster rendered most of them homeless.
Oba Etombi expressed appreciation to the All Progressives Congress APC Chairmanship Candidate for the Local Government in the forthcoming Local Government election, Hon. Dare Venza for his unrelenting effort to ensure that the victims get succour.
He applauded the State Government for being responsive and responsible to the plight of the people, adding that such effort clearly shows that Governor Ododo is passionate and considerate.
Recall that many houses were destroyed during a heavy downpour that wrecked havoc in Isanlu with many displaced by the disaster in April this year.
But the Kogi state Government, through the Kogi Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Haj. Rabiatu Okute and that of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Idris Asiru came to the rescue of the victims with the donation of the cash and other relief items to cushion their sufferings.
