A protest was recently held in the Federal Medical Center Lokoja to protest the actions of Dr. Nzubirike the Head of Department (HOD), O&G.

Nurses, he had ordered the labour room closed last week because his Resident Doctors were on strike despite the fact that “Midwives” were on ground.

Then , in a move that was seen to be aggravating which broke the proverbial camel’s back, he asked patients who came to the hospital for ante-natal to go home as the Doctors were on strike.
At the time of the protest, Dr Nzubirike was nowhere to be seen around the FMC premises.
