The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam this evening congratulated Mallam Adeiza Momohjimoh for emerging as the new State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council.
The Speaker, in a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Umar Yakubu Ali, enjoined the new NUJ Chairman to continue the good work and legacy of the former Chairman, Comrade Ali Atabor who was able to maintain a high standard of professionalism in reporting the State.
He further charged the chairman to carry everyone along irrespective of divergent views and interests as what matters most is providing a leadership direction that will be in the best interest of all practitioners and indeed, the larger society who will benefit from a united Union.
He assured the Chairman and members of his executives of a good working relationship between his office and the Union with a view to ensuring free flow of information.
