The Special Adviser to Chairman of Adavi local government council of Kogi State on persons living with disabilities (PLWDs), Mallam Abdulrahaman Onimisi Usman has commended Governor Yahaya Bello for running an all-inclusive government without discrimination.
Usman made this known at Adavi APC stakeholders meeting and official launch of a book; ‘The Political and Leadership Wonders of Adoza Volume 1’ held at the council hall on Monday.
He stated that no governor in the history of Kogi state has identified with persons living with disabilities like Governor Bello.
Hon. Usman gave series of testimonies based on what he has witnessed in the present government and compared them with previous administrations.
“I have been in politics for years and no government has ever recognized me. Sometimes ago, I felt like quitting because nobody seems to recognize my efforts because I am physically challenged. No sign of motivation from anybody talk more of reward but I had to encouraged myself because of my passion for politics.
“Today, I can proudly say that there is ability in disability, and physically challenged persons are part of present-day society and government.
“The present administration under the leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, has recognized and given a sense of belonging to people with disabilities. And of course, my boss, the Executive Chairman of Adavi LGA, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, is emulating his boss and mentor in all ramifications. He is running inclusive government in Adavi local government council,” he said.
